Are You Ready for the Fiestas Patrias in Santa Ana?

Just because summer is over doesn’t mean festival season is done! This weekend join the City of Santa Ana for the 38th Annual Fiestas Patrias in Downtown Santa Ana. The event will feature music, food, informational booths and cultural products for sale. Musical talents this year include Latin Grammy winner Ana Barbara and the much loved Banda Machos. The main event is a large parade which is set to take place on Sunday, Sept. 11 beginning at 4PM on Main Street and will honor “heroes past and present.” The festival is completely free of charge to enjoy but we suggest that you bring some money to spend one the amazing food and awesome carnival games. If you are looking for some family-friendly fun this weekend, the Fiestas Patrias is the event to attend!

Come to the Ribs, Pigs & Watermelon Summer Festival

If you are looking for some summer fun, everything you need to know is in the title. Who wouldn’t love a ribs, pigs and watermelon festival? My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The American Family Housing projects presents its fifth annual RPW festival that combines a BBQ competition, a car show and music all rolled into one weekend of summer festivities. Best of all, it raises awareness and funds to support Southern California homeless veterans organization. So you’ll be able to eat, drink and enjoy live music all for a great cause. What’s not to love? Stop by and listen to some music, indulge in BBQ and watermelon, and enjoy various contests. The event will also feature kids activities.

Easter Weekend Service and Egg Hunt in Santa Ana

Spring is officially here, which means Easter is this Sunday. Most people might spend the day at church, participating in an Easter Egg hunt and capping off the day with a dinner. If you are looking for a place to spend the holiday, the Calvary Church of Santa Ana will be hosting a weekend long Easter event beginning with an egg hunt on Saturday at 9am at Cabrillo Park. On Sunday, Calvary Church will host an outdoor family style gathering with serves at 6:30 am, 9 am & 11am in the church’s worship center.
