Fun Things To Do In Santa Ana, CA

Like most people, after the holidays you might be feeling the pinch in your bank account. The great thing is that there is plenty to do in Santa Ana this January that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. And what’s even better, you will not need to travel far from your California Palms’ apartment.

Check out the Lyon Air Museum located at 19300 Ike Jones Road where you can see plenty of WW2 memorabilia, old motorcycles and classic cars. An added plus is because it is near the airport; you can see jets taking off and landing, which kids really love. This is a great place to go in January or other cooler months because it can get pretty warm during the summer at the museum since it is located in a hangar.

January is also a great time to visit the Santa Ana Zoo because the animals are more active during the cooler weather. Go on safari or take a ride on the 50 Monkey Ferris Wheel, which salutes the Zoo’s commitment to always having at least 50 monkeys in the zoo at any given time in addition to 80 other species of animals.

How to Throw the Easiest New Year’s Eve Party Around

Parties are a lot of work, but they don’t have to be. You can try and throw the easiest party around just for your own sanity. Here are a few simple tips for hosting a wonderful, yet simple NYE party.

Grab a few index cards and write out a phrases like, “The habit I want to end this year is ―――.” “The good deed I want to accomplish is ―――.” “The person I want to emulate is ―――.” “The skill I want to try is ―――.” Next you read the cards aloud and try to guess which people said what.

Skip the food for snacks: Not every party his to feature a full blown four course meal. Save yourself some stress and buy snacks and finger food instead. Let your guest know a meal will not be served and they’ll eat beforehand.

Get a playlist: music sets the mood for everything, so get a great NYE playlist ready. Here are a few songs to download.
