Tips and Tricks For Throwing an Amazing Oscar Party

Oscar season is always a great time to throw a party (we’ll take any excuse to get together with friends and enjoy a drink or two). So this Sunday invite a few friends over and enjoy the most prestigious awards ceremony of the year. Here are a few fun tips for throwing an amazing Oscar party.

Oscar Ballot: Don’t awards ceremonies always get it wrong? Make your own ballot, have your guest fill them out, and ready aloud your party’s winners after every award.

Popcorn Buckets: Make your own popcorn buckets by printing out labels and taping or gluing them on to plastic containers. The décor will add a bit of pop and style to your party.

Oscar Bingo: Print out your own Red Carpet Oscar Bingo Cards here http://laurenvenell.com/oscars-red-carpet-bingo/ and have a little fun before the event begins. The card play off of fun red carpet stereotypes and should be a blast to play.

How To Stay Sane Living Near Loud Construction Noise

Living near a construction area can be a nightmare. Everything is loud, you cannot hear yourself think, let alone sleep. If your sanity is wearing thin. Here are a few ideas to help keep your sanity intact.

Hang fabrics: fabrics can help absorb sound, so hang something over the area where the sound is loudest. If the noise is coming from a window, buy a thick curtain.

Move furniture: your furniture arrangement can help reduce or increase outside sound. If the noise is coming from your balcony, put large pieces of furniture near that area to block the noise.

Play music: if all else fails, always have some light music playing in the background to provide a more pleasant noise to focus on.
